It was a dark and stormy evening in the warm glow of a coffee house setting, a splinter group forms… A good cup of coffee or tea, an interesting book to read, a great discussion, lively exchange and lots of fun to look forward to at every meeting!

A group for "geeks, intellectuals, musicians, and artists".  If you're like me, you consider yourself to be of average intelligence but enjoy digging into things, learning more, and maybe introspective.  I started the group because I couldn't find anything like it.  Let's get together for coffee, movies, dinner, dancing, whatever.   I am new to TX so if you are interested, I welcome your ideas and/or assistance in organizing future Meetups!

We meet at Saxby's Coffee in Farmers Branch every Saturday from 1pm - 3pm to study. The North Dallas Poetry Book Club is a group for current devotees, for readers who would like to learn more about the art, and for folks like me who miss grad school and its lively conversations about contemporary poetry. There are so many wonderful groups in surrounding areas, but I've had a hard time finding one with local events in McKinney. This is a group for Women who knit, crochet, needlepoint or other Fiber Arts to get together and work on projects, share ideas, learn new techniques, make new friends and have fun.
