I'm fresh from the Reason Rally in Washington DC and while there is an active Freethinker community in the Philadelphia area, i'm looking to connect with people closer to home to get together over a cup of coffee or tea to share our experiences as Non-Theists! If you are in the 19401-03 zip codes and want to come together for informal meetups with other people identified as Atheists, Agnostics, Freethinkers, Brights etc, it'd be great for you to come join in!

Namaste! Welcome to Philly Loves Tea. The intention of this meetup group is to bring all the tea lovers who are interested in meeting up for tea (and snacks obviously) and promoting a friendly non-alcoholic social setting. This group is open to all. We are very considerate so coffee lovers are more than welcome to join this group! "The first time you share tea with a Balti, you are a stranger. The second time you take tea, you are an honored guest. The third time you share a cup of tea, you b …
We brought our group to Meetup.com in April 2010, but we actually began our monthly book discussions in September 2009. We have been having our meetings the first Wednesday evening of every month, 7pm at Red Hook Coffee & Tea (765 S 4th St - between Fitzwater & Catharine in Queen Village). The meetings generally go no later than 9pm. We are casual and enthusiastic; our members enjoy reading and collectively choosing and discussing books on a monthly basis. We take turns selecting the books …

We will meet at local spots and coffee shops to talk about good books! Our meetings thus far have primarily been in West Chester, Exton and Downingtown. We're open to new meeting spots so feel free to recommend them. We try to meet once a month. Books are chosen normally by taking suggestions and then pick …

Meet kindred book lovers in a local Meetup Book Club! We will take a look at a new book each month. I lean towards newer fiction, but we will see where the group wants to go! I started this group because I didn't see any groups in the area which catered to those of us in the western suburbs; from King of Prussia to Collegeville. Depending on make up of the group, we will meet along the 422 corridor between King of Prussia and Collegeville. There are a couple of excellent book clubs …

This group is for people in their 40s, 50s and above. Those who haven't been very active but would like to start walking regularly at a local park. The idea is to get started on a regular exercese regimen as well as meet other people who enjoy similar activities. As the members get to know each other, we will build some fun activites along with our walking routines. We might walk in one of the pretty gardens/arboretums in the area, or go for coffee, lunch, or movie after our regular walk. It …
