It’s hard to make new friends at our age after we have devoted our lives to children who are grown and to our career. We often stay closer to home these days for a variety of reason. I miss my friends from High School and beyond who have moved all over the country and I don’t like to travel alone. As a new mom having just returned to work, I have found that its pretty difficult to meet other new moms and dads. Lets get together for evening and weekend activities (with or without our babies) such as playdates, walks on local trails, lunch/dinner/coffee, BBQs, etc.

We meet every Thursday evening at the La Madeline Restaurant at the Mid-Pike Plaza on Rockville Pike to share knitting and crochet advice projects, new patterns, yarn, show-and-tell our WIP's (works-in-progress) and FO's (finished objects), and talk about just anything.  Feel free to bring other needlecraft projects, too, and don't let problem projects keep you away.
