Hi All
Back Inside the Perimeter - I guess where we belong.
The owner of Lattitude came from Seattle - where the whole coffee house thing got going - to create an atmospheric indie coffee shop in Atlanta. He's succeeded.
Lattitude has great coffee and an unusally large food menu for a coffee joint (it gets a pretty large lunch crowd), and also serves alcohol. The ambience is relaxed with some eastern touches, and it features a stage for live music. It's somewhat like a smaller Kavarna. Here's a review:
http://www.kudzu.com/…So the live music Saturday night is , well, me - probably with a musical friend or two. I'll be playing a good bit of my Beatles repertoire - I've done numerous concerts of Beatles stuff on the piano, sometimes with other musicians. Expect to hear some fun jazzy pieces like The Peanuts Music (Linus and Lucy), Mission Impossible, The Pink Panther, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B, Paint it Black and Stairway to Heaven (which works great on the piano), among others. Singing along is a possibility.
We'll start at 7:00 to allow for some chill time before I start playing at 8:00. They have a large email list and I'll be letting other folks know as well, so there should be a decent crowd there. Lattitude is in the large shopping center at Dekalb Industrial way and North Decatur that features a Hollywood Video and a Krogers?.See you there.
Salud
Alan
