Hi All
Here's a topic we can play around with at some point in the night. This being spring, and Memorial Day - a time of travel - approaching - What are day or overnight trips within driving range of Atlanta that people might not know about? For example, a few months ago I went with another C.O.F.F.I.E. member and a friend to Juliet Ga., the city Fried Green tomatoes was filmed in. Of course, there's now a whole tourist thing in Juliet that's sprung around the flick, including the Fried Green Tomatoes Cafe. We also went further south to Folston Ga, home of the Folston funnel, which is a train spotter's paradise (trains every 20 minutes, and train enthusiasts just waiting to see them.)
Another unusual place I've been to outside or Georgia is The Farm, about five hours away in Tennessee, possibly the largest intentional community in the United States, and also quite beautiful.
So if you have somewhere interesting to tell folks about - in or out of Georgia, but within reasonable driving range, let's hear it tomorrow night.
Salud
Alan
