7:00 pm - 7:40 pm - Coffee/snacks at Café de Bliss, Central World Plaza (this can be a standalone part of the Meetup if you just want to chat but don't have time for the movie)
7:40 pm - move to SFW - SF World Cinema on the 7th Floor for the movie
8:00 pm - Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic (2008) A fun film from India. In Hindi with English subtitles.
About the Movie
Ranbeer Talwar, one of the country's top industrialists, is a loner, not by choice, but because he lost everyone he ever loved. He is now faced with a very peculiar and uncomfortable situation. In a rare and landmark court verdict, he is to look after four orphan children. The orphans hate him and do not want to live with him. He too cannot face them or look them in the eye for certain reasons. Their life together is very unhappy. One day they pray to God for help and he does help them. He sends his most mischievous, childlike, lovable angel to the rescue, with a mission to bring Ranbeer and the kids together. Geeta comes bicycling down a rainbow?and bursts into Ranbeer's house as the self-proclaimed new nanny. And then starts the roller coaster ride of fun, emotions, magic and love. An angel who doesn't know what love is. A man who always lost love. Four orphans who need love.
Directions
CentralWorld is mid-way between the Siam and Chitlom stations of the BTS Skytrain. I'll give the directions here from the Siam BTS station:
(1) After leaving the Skytrain, take Exit 6 from the station and walk on the Skybridge about 5 minutes to Exit C of the Sky Walk (CentralWorld).
(2) To proceed to Café de Bliss, go straight ahead and you will see that CentralWorld is connected on its 2nd floor to the Sky Walk. Take the first escalator up one floor (to the 3rd floor). You will see Auntie Anne's in the middle of the hall. Walk one more minute and you will see Café de Bliss, where we will have coffee and snacks (7:00 pm).
If you don't arrive by Skytrain, ask for directions to the 2nd floor connection to the Sky Walk (which leads to the Skytrain- known to Thais as "BTS"), Use the above directions from there as Café de Bliss is a 2-minute walk from that point. Also, a receptionist is there and can direct you. If all that fails, give me (Art) a call on 089-221-8308.
(3) 7:40 pm, we will move on to SFW - SF World Cinema on the 7th Floor for the movie. We will buy tickets as a group. Getting a block of seats then will not be a problem as the Indian film series has a seat occupancy of about 50%.
