This is a wonderful neighborhood hangout. For more information: RiverviewCafe Time to get back to our regular Saturday 10:30AM Coffee Schedule (Fall/Winter). Fun things to do after coffee could include a Movie Matinee at the Riverview theatre across the street. Or I plan to visit the Autumn daze festival at St. Helena which is a few miles away. I can't resist playing "Quilt" bingo and browsing thought the silent auction items and the used book sale. All are welcome to join me. Some of us may meet back at the Riverview Cafe in the evening of the 15th for the Peter Lang concert. I will provide more information as it becomes available. The concert does require a ticket which will likely be $15.00 or less.

Kellie and Lisa are having a Happy Hour kickoff for the Luekemia/Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk. The walk is Sept. 29 at Lake Phalen. The kickoff happy hour is at Majors Sports Bar in Bloomington starting at 4 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24. The purpose of the happy hour is to help build excitement for the walk. Please feel free to come socialize with us. You will not be required to donate to attend this event. Lisa walks in the Luekemia/Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk every year and this year Lisa and Kellie are teaming up in this effort. As Co-Team Captains Lisa and Kellie are looking to recruit anyone interested in joining the team or wishing to make a donation. This is a personal cause for both of us. Kellie's Mom beat Hodgkins lymphoma years ago and is now winning her battle against non-hodgkins Lymphoma. Lisa's sister died from multiple myeloma four years ago and her aunt passed away last month from leukemia. In keeping with the coffee theme the Team name is Java Jive walkers. If anyone one else in the Coffee group is interested in joining the team please join us at the happy hour or contact Kellie or Lisa for more information. If not I (Kellie) will be posting new actual "Coffee" events soon. I have had a very busy summer helping my Mom through her treatments. You can look forward to more events as fall approaches and feel free to make suggestions for times, locations, etc. Hope to see you on the 24th. We are also inviting friends and family to this event. If you RSVP yes, you will receive additional information regarding this event as it evolves. Kellie & Lisa

I have made reservations for 15 for Brunch @ SpoonRiver at 10:30. I have to give a final #next week so please help me out by adding a comment to your RSVP if you plan to go to Brunch - otherwise I will assume a yes RSVP means to count you in for Brunch. Check out SpoonRiver Restarant, which is next door to the market. SpoonRiver I plan on taking the light rail DT so if anyone wants to meet at a light rail station and travel DT as a group let me know. Time to give Minneapolis equal attention and check out the Mill City Farmers market. The market is located at CHICAGO AVE. AND 2ND ST. SOUTH BETWEEN THE GUTHRIE THEATER AND MILL CITY MUSEUM. We will meet at the Muddsuckers Vendor area at 9am (Muddsuckers is a Vendor) If there is confusion for some reason, Look for me in Central area. I will wear my Tan Sandiego Zoo baseball cap. Or meet at Spoon River Restaurant for the 10:30 Brunch Checkout the link to a Star Tribune review of the Market for a description of Muddsuckers. And check out the link to Mill City Farmers Market Site for information about parking. There are great options for activities after we check out the market. There are walking paths, the mill city museum, Brunch at Spoon River? Feel free to make a suggestion. I will also give out my cell phone # to those who sign up for the event in case someone gets lost in crowd as I did at the St. Paul Farmers Market. MillCityFarmersMarke t StarTribArticle

Where to Meet: Let's meet at the SEA Salt Entrance opposite the Falls, near the wooden sandwich style SEA Salt sign at 6:30. Shortly after 6:30 we will get in line for food because the lines can be long. To make it easier to find the group I will wear a green shirt and khaki shorts/pants and bring a sign, maybe a balloon (Green) if I have time to buy one. My new favorite place to go on week nights is Minnehaha Park. You can enjoy beverages and Sea Food at SEA Salt and listen to bands playing in the background. I have been to 3 concerts so far this summer and have enjoyed each one. Don't miss the opportunity to check out this group! 07/30/2007 7:00-8:40pm 7/30- Timothy Berry and Soul Drums Soul Drums is a musical journey that explores music based in West African and Caribbean traditions. The journey continues on to include African American rhythms. Audiences get to see and hear many of the West African/Caribbean hand drums as well as songs that demonstrate their rich cultural heritage! www.cdbaby.com/cd/Ti mothyBerry More info on the park - Note you do have to pay to park in the lots but parking on the street is free. It is $.50 per hour. .MinnehahaPark
