This is a fun location, where we will have a great view of the river and the Minneapolis sky line. After our coffee we can take a walk across the river on the Stone Arch Bridge. We will be sitting outside, unless the weather is bad.

Let's try something new this spring--an evening coffee meetup with music!

Dave has invited us to his neighborhood coffee shop, The Coffee Grounds, in Falcon Heights (that's near St. Paul and the State Fairgrounds). They have evening music on the weekends. There are lots of non-caffeinated choices, like ice cream!

Let's meet at 7 pm before the music starts at 8 pm. The group that night is Mill Town Band, which plays celtic/folk music. Feel free to stay as long as you can.

The Coffee Grounds is not too far from Black Bear Crossings at the Lake Como Pavilion where we usually meet. If you are on Lexington, turn West on Hoyt Avenue (a stoplight) to Hamline.

Check out their Web site.

Hope to see you there!

This is fun central location with lots of room. This location is right in the pavilion on Lake Como. If the weather is nice we can head outside. Later we can walk around the lake if people are interested. There are always lots of new people that attend this meet-up, so don't be shy everyone is always very friendly. You never know you might make some new friends.

"It has it all: a full coffee bar, pastries, breakfast, lunch, music, cult movies, games, atmosphere and attitude. The brainchild of Dawn, a craft services goddess, and brought to reality with the help of her business partner, Lucy, an accounting guru, Diamonds opened in October of 2002. With the help of our stellar staff, our goal is to bring you the best coffee and sandwiches in Northeast, and have some fun in the process.

So whether you’re looking for a quiet place to study, a private place for a business meeting, or a lively place to meet with friends, one of the distinctly different rooms at Diamonds Coffee Shoppe will be perfect for you. Join us for fun, food and frivolity.

Come for the caffeine, stay for the camaraderie.”

WHEN
Saturday, March 14, 9 A.M. - 11 A.M.
See you there!

PARKING
Free parking: There's street parking on Central; also plenty of free parking in lot just 30 feet SOUTH of the Diamond’s entrance--near the railroad tracks; please don’t park in the small lot NORTH of Diamond’s—it's for Interior Gardens customers. Thanks!

Psssst...
In order for us to get some quantity seating and not be scowled at by crowds of hungry bikers whose seats we’ve taken, we’ll meet Saturday—but if you’re inclined, head to Diamond’s (monthly) Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, March 8; served 9-noon.

$7 buys all the pancakes you can eat.

“It's the cozy get together in the back hall. Plenty of cakes, bacon, sausage, eggs, juice and Diamonds famous fabulous coffee!”

Every year there is a "No Coast" craft sale at the midtown global market. We went to this event last year and we were greeted with a snow storm. This year there may be snow but no giant snowstorm

Check out this link for information the craft sale. http://www.midtownglobalmarket.org/?q=node/5680

Last year, parking was free all day for this event.

We'll start at nine but it would be ideal if people filter in and we can take turns wondering around the craft sale in small groups. We should be there from 9-12. Make a note when you RSVP regarding which hour you plan to arrive 9, 10, or 11.

I can only stay from 9am - 12pm so I did not make a lunch reservation.
I plan to arrive early and secure a table in the main food court area. I suggest getting your coffee from Mapps coffee but there are many excellent vendors offering many food and beverage options.

I will have a sign or balloon or something to help the group gather. Keep in mind that big events like this are a little challenging but if everyone is flexible it will work out.
